"Unnat Bharat Abhiyan" (UBA) is a flagship program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with the objective of enabling higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. The mission of UBA is to create a vibrant relationship between the institutions and rural India, by providing knowledge and expertise for the development of rural areas and fostering social and economic improvement.

Objectives

1. Educational Initiatives: Provided educational resources to rural background, conduct awareness program
2. Sanitation and Cleanliness drives: Plantation drive, waste management and awareness campaigns
3. Baseline Surveys: To understand the current state of rural communities, including their infrastructure, education, healthcare, and socio-economic conditions
4. Village Adoption: Similar to NSS, adoption of villages and work on their comprehensive development
5. Community Engagement: Organize events, workshops, and cultural exchange programs
6. Healthcare Camps: Vaccinations, and health awareness programs to rural communities
