In India, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has formulated regulations to prevent ragging in educational institutions. The UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, outline guidelines and measures to curb ragging and promote a safe and conducive learning environment.
